Finally, a unit study that can bring the younger kids into the wealth of knowledge of the NCFCA Team-Policy debate topic.
This exciting study covers 6000 years of Indian history while integrating events from biblical history and western civilization. Each lesson contains three components: History, Maps and Activities, and Missions. Parents and teachers may choose one or all of these components depending on the age and level of their children. The Maps and Activities can be adjusted to any grade level, K-6. They include Indian national symbols, flags, geography, and climate. Historical summaries at the beginning of every lesson covering spiritual, political, and economical growth are short and appropriate to read aloud and discuss.
Missionary emphasis is placed on native Christian Sundar Singh (1889-1929) from WYAM's Christian Heroes: Then and Now Series which can be enjoyed by the whole family. Additional historical resources are included at the end of each lesson for parents and teachers to further their own knowledge of Indian history. The curriculum comes with maps and cut-outs to develop student workbooks. In addition, you will receive 21 book and 10 movie suggestions and a Darjeeling Tea Party planner. It is our hope that through this study your children will understand their Christian faith better, be more familiar with India, and develop a missionary heart for those caught in the bondage of superstition. |
